Hugely enjoyable take on the classic Dickens A CHRISTMAS CAROL, updated for the late 1980s Yuppie era of greed being good – and for top TV executive Frank Cross (Bill Murray), he is screwy and even more Scrooge than Scrooge.
However, like Scrooge, he is about to get a rude awakening and has to rediscover his own heart within the heartlessness.
Richard Donner proved that he could direct something different than a man who could fly or a cop duo out to cause mayhem and chaos with this ever-popular Christmas favourite (and a brilliant opening gag is well worth a watch. Ideal to be seen with an audience and Murray is at his incomparable best.
