Sequel to the 1984 classic comedy blockbuster sees Detroit Detective Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) going ‘deep, deep, deep undercover’ to track down the perpetrators of the mysterious ‘Alphabet’ crimes in Beverly Hills after they wound Lt. Bogomil (Ronny Cox) in a roadside sting.
Bogomil has been ousted by Harold Lutz (Allen Garfield), a ruthless senior policeman who wants people to go his way or the highway when solving cases, a move resented by Bogomil’s key officers, Taggart (John Ashton) and Rosewood (Judge Reinhold).
They team up together and their trail leads to businessman Maxwell Dent (Jurgen Prochnow) and henchperson Karla Fry (Brigitte Nielsen) who have a grand plan to claim millions from various businesses across the Beverly Hills area….
Whilst not as good as the original film, the action quota is ramped up and Murphy keeps the film in check.
