Tim Burton’s second big hit after PEE WEE’S BIG ADVENTURE in the USA and a prelude to the dark comic tone of BATMAN and EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, BEETLEJUICE is the right mix of comedy and fun horror, coupled with great performances from Baldwin, Davis and Keaton, as well as Ryder who does well in a film that led her to the likes of HEATHERS and MERMAIDS.
