The London Rolling Film Festival (LRFF) is proud to announce the distinguished jurors who will serve on the panel for its 15th edition, taking place 5–7 September 2025 at Vue Piccadilly and The Queens Head.

This year’s jury brings together acclaimed professionals from across the film industry:
- David Nicholas Wilkinson – Producer, distributor, and founder of Guerilla Films, with decades of experience championing independent cinema. (Getty Images link)
- Mark Rance – Award-winning producer, curator, and founder of Watchmaker Films, known for his work in both narrative features and film restoration. (LinkedIn profile)
- Stephanie Takyi – Entertainment and travel journalist, with expertise in culture, film, and lifestyle, contributing to outlets including the Daily Mail, GB News, and other national publications. (Getty Images link)

As part of LRFF’s tradition, the jury will decide the recipients of key awards.
The Audience Award will also return, giving festival goers the power to vote for their favourite film, with the winner receiving a cash prize to help launch their next production.
The London Rolling Film Festival, now in its 15th edition, continues its mission to connect, inspire, and support independent filmmakers through screenings, panels, networking events, and red carpet opportunities.

David Nicholas Wilkinson
Founder of Guerilla Films since 1995, David is a filmmaker with a rich career spanning acting, producing, directing, and distributing British and Irish films. He directed and produced documentaries such as The First Film, Postcards from the 48%, and Getting Away With Murder(s). His film Getting Away With Murder(s) was voted among The Guardian’s best films of 2021. He also served as Executive Producer on How to Change the World, and his company has released over 100 independent productions. In 1982, he produced a BBC adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s To the Lighthouse, one of the earliest true independent co-productions with the BBC.
Mark Rance
Mark is a documentary filmmaker and film restorer with decades of experience. He worked at the Criterion Collection before founding Watchmaker Films in London in 2004, focusing on restoring culturally significant independent films. His restoration projects include The Whole Shootin’ Match, Last Night at the Alamo, Eggshells, and A Bigger Splash. He has been a speaker on restoration at events such as The Miskatonic Institute of Horror Studies.
Stephanie Takyi
Stephanie is an entertainment and travel journalist known for her versatility across mediums. She serves as an Editor at the Daily Mail and is an on-screen Entertainment Reporter for GB News. Her work spans major outlets including Daily Mirror, The Sun, Evening Standard, and international platforms like CNN Travel and MSN. She also writes travel features and speaks on topics like diversity and women traveling solo.
Nazmun Nesa
Nazmun is an author, freelance journalist, and chairperson of Cinemaking Film Festival Berlin. She previously worked as an editor at Deutsche Welle Radio & TV in Bonn and is the founder and president of Bengal Zentrum in Berlin. Her literary achievements include the Ekushey Padak, Bangladesh’s highest award in language and literature.
British actor Nick Moran (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) will walk the red carpet alongside filmmakers and industry professionals from the UK, Europe and beyond at the 15th London Rolling Film Festival (LRFF), running from 5 to 7 September 2025 at Vue Piccadilly and The Queens Head.
Now in its fifteenth edition, the festival continues to serve as a boutique platform for independent cinema. This year’s Official Selection brings together UK and European filmmakers alongside talent from as far afield as Taiwan and the United States. All filmmakers will attend in person, offering UK audiences a rare opportunity to meet the creators behind the films through screenings, Q&As and networking sessions.

The 2025 line-up combines new voices with filmmakers of award-winning and internationally recognised work, including: Neil Marshall (Keep Young and Beautiful), Emmy® nominee (Game of Thrones), BIFA winner and director of cult classics Dog Soldiers and The Descent, marking its 20th anniversary this year, with cast members from Doctor Who and EastEnders; Philip Walker (Armada), two-time BAFTA nominee, currently developing feature project Our Time; Russell De Rozario (This Damnation), Best First-Time Director at Best Film Awards New York, with actor Max Bennett (Poldark); Anna Simone Scott (Take My Heart), Daytime Emmy® nominee and winner of the BAFTA Los Angeles Members’ Short Film Festival; Jordan River (Joachim and the Apocalypse), pioneer of Italian 3D cinema, whose feature has won Best Italian Feature at the 79th Salerno International Film Festival and multiple awards worldwide; Marco De Luca (Buio Come il Cuore), with previous films at BFI FLARE and OUTfest, joined by Golden Globe®-nominated collaborators; Marcia Kimpton (An American Abroad), writer-director and actress; Theresa Godly (The Stranger I Love), known for roles in Bridgerton, EastEnders and Doctors.
Filmmakers will be joined by cast and crew including Nick Moran, Jennifer Mischiati, Bill Hutchens, Yoon C. Joyce and Emmy® Award-winning composer Michele Josia. This year brings an outstanding group of Italian filmmakers with award-winning and internationally recognised work, a presence that has drawn the attention of Italian institutions, who will join the red carpet in support of the festival.
