Adapted from the classic Arabian Nights tale and updated by Disney with a musical flavour – and of course one of the late Robin Williams’ best-ever vocal performances which is a masterclass, Disney’s 1992 animated version of ALADDIN is fun, fun, fun throughout, the tale of a street rat who is sweettalked into retrieving a mysterious lamp from a cave from the evil Jafar who wants it for himself.

However, Aladdin has his eyes on Princess Jasmine – and with the help of the Genie (voiced by Williams), he aims to win her heart, but as always the road to true love is always a challenge…

Good songs and good fun throughout – and one of the best Disney kids films ever made…
