Before he fell in love with a girl called Wanda in A FISH CALLED WANDA, John Cleese personified stress and frustration as much and as consistent as ever in this British comedy, in which he plays a time-obsessed headmaster who is chosen to present a lecture at the University of Norwich.
Unfortunately, he mistakes the wrong train for Norwich for one for Plymouth – and so begins a case of mishaps and mistimings, coupled with the fact that he borrows the car belonging to a school pupil (Sharon Maiden) and in turn that action has even more bad consequences for Cleese, who begins to realize that there is no enemy but time….
Not one of his best, but some occasionally funny moments, heightened by a brusque and very funny ending.
