A concert film phenomenon on its’ original release in 1981 and recently played in a special 70mm presentation in London’s Prince Charles Cinema, DANCE CRAZE is a celebration of the 2-Tone cult that dominated the UK pop charts in the early 1980s, with live performances from the likes of The Bad Manners, The English Beat, The Bodysnatchers, Madness, The Selecter and The Specials.
Well worth a look if you want to get a sense of how significant the music was. Madness lead singer Suggs claimed in a recent interview that he wished there had been interviews with the artists, rather than there be a straightforward series of individual song performances.
