HARD TO KILL

1990
Action / Thriller

LA cop Mason Storm (Steven Seagal) is videoing the dockside plans of a Senator (William Sadler) who is out to kill a rival with the intention of ‘taking it to the bank’. Unfortunately, he makes a few sounds whilst observing and a few corrupt figures in the police force gun him and his wife down, whilst his kid son narrowly escapes to the safe hands of Storm’s cop buddy O’Malley.

Seven years later, Storm awakes from a coma, attended to by a nurse (Kelly LeBrock), who helps him retreat to a farm when he recovers and sets out to get revenge – as well as his son back….

Seagal’s follow up to the enjoyable NICO (ABOVE THE LAW), directed by Bruce Malmuth (NIGHTHAWKS with Sylvester Stallone and Rutger Hauer), is simplistic gung-ho action, but still enjoyable enough and a great soundtrack by David Frank.
