Clearly influenced by FANTASTIC VOYAGE, Joe Dante’s INNERSPACE gets updated for the 1980s.

Drunken Air Force pilot Tuck Pendleton (Dennis Quaid) gets a (tetanus?) shot at redemption when he is allowed to participate in a brand-new minatur-ization experiment involving a rabbit. However, during the process, the lab is attacked and a pursued scientist takes the needle Pendleton (now shrunk) is in and injects into wimpy supermarket clerk Jack Putter (Martin Short) who is in the midst of a nervous breakdown.

The scene is set for a chase movie  of big and small proportions as the two work together to save the day – and their sanity.

Produced by Steven Spielberg and one of several films he lent his name to through his Amblin production company during the late 1980s, INNERSPACE has all the elements of a classic Spielberg production.
