Rumble In The Bronx

1995 (US) / 1996 (UK)
Comedy, Martial Arts

After two false starts in America with BATTLE CREEK BRAWL (THE BIG BRAWL: UK) in 1980 and THE PROTECTOR in 1986, martial arts legend Jackie Chan hit it big at the US box-office in a film that paved the way for a series of huge blockbuster films, notably the RUSH HOUR series co-starring with Chris Tucker.

In RUMBLE IN THE BRONX, Chan plays a man who comes to the Bronx to attend his uncle’s wedding, but trouble isn’t far away, with a protection racket, a group of bikers and a bag of diamonds all thrown into the mix.

However, that’s not the reason to watch RUMBLE IN THE BRONX, as it is all about the amazing fights and stunts (Chan’s leap from one building to another is phenomenal) and a climax involving a hovercraft gets you to your destination – and a very happy place wherever you watch this film.
