Tom Alberts and Lisa Barmby co-direct and star in a script penned by Alberts which is a deliberately silly homage to those classic Bogart and detective black and white noirs that dominated the Hollywood studio system for years.
A cat has gone missing and a Princess (Barmby) requests the help of a Detective (Alberts). There is a jewel in the mix, a medium determined to reveal the truth and whereabouts – and any number of human obstacles out to scupper the case.
As silly and affectionate as a spoof you can get like AIRPLANE!, THE BIG KITTY is wonderful fun. Wowed the Paris International Film Festival 2020 crowd and has continued to play to affectionate crowds at festivals globally
