One of the rare occasion where a brilliant original is surpassed by an even better sequel, TOY STORY 2 is an absolute triumph of invention, story and technical virtuoso.
Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) has been accepted into Andy’s room by the other toys, led by Woody (Tom Hanks) and the others. However, when there is a car boot sale, Woody is attempting to rescue one of the toys and is picked up by an unscrupulous toy salesman who is planning to add him to a complete collection of vintage toys that Woody comes from to a collector in Japan.
Buzz and the others are determined to get Woody back, however Woody’s new group of toys sense he could make them worthwhile themselves again….
Wonderful gags and a few other toys mixed in, coupled with a running STAR WARS homage gag make this wonderful kids entertainment.
