Jonathan Demme made some amazing acclaimed films in his lifetime, with his biggest success of all-time being his adaptation of the Thomas Harris novel THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, which won the ‘Big Five’ Academy Awards (Film, Director, Actor, Actress, Adapted Screenplay).

However, he was also a competent music video director as well – and one of his greatest moments was the concert film he made with the legendary New York New Wave band Talking Heads, featuring David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Jerry Harrison and Tina Weymouth.

Starting with a blank stage, Byrne appears with a guitar and a beatbox with a tape, aiming straight into PSYCHO KILLER. As the songs progress, so does the stage, leading to songs like BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE and ONCE IN A LIFETIME.

The show is vibrant – and remains one of the best concert documentaries ever produced.
